Who we are
Maafushi Dive and Water Sports was established in 2011 and has matured into an industry recognized dive and water sports center. It is owned and operated by industry professionals with 15 years of experience in diving, water sports and tourism.
Our aim is to create rewarding adventures for our divers through carefully crafted packages with high-quality standards of diving equipment and professional staff with local knowledge of dive sites within the region. All our dive center staffs are PADI EFR trained to attend to emergencies and all our equipment’s are annually serviced to ensure safety for our divers.
Maafushi dive and water sports is conveniently located closer to the beach. Our dive center features two state of the art air conditioned classrooms, shower facilities with hot water, restrooms, changing facilities, locker service and dive shop.
We are registered with Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) and hold diving center operating license from the Ministry of Tourism.
Maafushi Dive is a PADI Five Star IDC Dive center.

Maafushi Dive and Water Sports are committed to its sustainable social responsibility goals in environment protection and human resource development within this industry.
Environment protection
Our environment protection goals are in line with Project AWARE by PADI. We focus on instilling healthy diving habits to conserve the marine environment. We run awareness campaigns within the community and national level to education the importance of protecting the fragile marine ecosystem and its inhabitants. The usage of single use plastics are banned within our premises and boats in order to avoid marine litter and microplastics. Water refilling stations are provided within the Dive Center as well as boats.
We also implement a "No glove policy" during dives.
Human Resource Development
Maafushi Dive and Water sports is dedicated to developing a new generation of local professionals to explore a career in SCUBA diving. Our innovative internship program continues to develop a generation of eco-conscious professionals to cater to the ever expanding needs of the Maldivian tourism industry.
