The PADI Adventures in Diving program lets you do all of these fun things whilst working towards your next level of diver certification. Consult with your diving instructor and choose from a variety of Adventure Dives offered through our dive centers. Once you have completed at least 3 Adventure Dives from the Adventures in Diving program you will be eligible to be certified as an Adventure Diver.
Adventure dives that you can participate in include:
Night Diving
Deep Diving
Wreck Diving
Underwater Digital Photography
Peak Performance Buoyancy

Underwater Navigation
If you are already open Water Certified then you can earn the Adventure Diver rating in as little as 1 day although you might like to spread it over 2 days.
What’s involved?
Course outline – First off you’ll receive an Adventures in Diving participant manual and then discuss with your diving instructor which three Adventure Dives you would like to participate in. For each elected dive there is a corresponding section in the participant manual that you’ll read and some knowledge review questions that you need to answer. Your instructor will review these answers with you as well as brief you on each dive before you go underwater. Then you’re diving again! Each time with a different objective but overall to help you broaden your understanding of the aquatic world and sharpen your diving skills.

This program permits someone who has never dived before to try out scuba diving under the direct supervision of a PADI instructor. We ask that participants be at the dive centre at 01:30pm to fill out their registration forms, to try on equipment and to participate in the theory segment of the program. What’s involved? The formal bit - Once we’ve welcomed you at the dive centre we’ll ask you to fill in a Discover Scuba Diving registration form and try on some diving gear for proper fit. Thereafter your instructor will give you a briefing on how to dive safely as well as explain to you how your equipment works and what sort of skill you’ll be learning underwater.Things start to get better - Soon we’ll be leaving the classroom behind us and heading out by boat to a shallow sandy area of the lagoon. Here in very shallow water we’ll help you to master a few basic skills that everyone participating in scuba diving should be comfortable with. Please try to focus on what your instructor is trying to show you and don’t be too distracted by all the fish! This is what you’ve been looking for – Finally, after a short trip by boat to a nearby reef, you and your instructor enter the water to enjoy a real dive in the Maldives. For non divers only (theory + confined + dive)
The PADI Master Scuba Diving certification is the highest non-professional diver rating issued by PADI. It distinguishes the barer as being highly trained and experienced in a wide range of specialist diving activities and courses. For sure it’s more than just another diving license! It takes time, commitment and dedication to scuba diving in order to achieve this rating and as such it is a testament to your clear passion for the underwater world. To earn your Master Scuba Diver rating you don’t participate in a singular course but rather a collection of diving courses and experiences. Probably you’ll be completing the various certification requirements over more than one diving vacation or, if you’re based here in the Maldives, then over several weekends. Of course if you have the time and you can commit to finishing whatever you need to get certified then we’re happy to help you achieve your goal. Exactly how long that might take depends on the diving certifications you currently hold and how many logged dives you already have. What’s InvolvedTo become certified as a PADI Master Scuba Diver you need to:· Be at least 12 years old.* · Hold a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Certification· Hold a PADI Rescue Diver certification· Have completed at least 5 PADI Specialty Diver certifications**· Have logged at least 50 dives.Divemaster is the first professional diving rating in PADI and your foot in the door to finding employment in the scuba diving industry. Working closely with a PADI Instructor, you expand your dive knowledge and hone your skills to the professional level. PADI Divemaster training develops your leadership abilities, qualifying you to supervise dive activities and assist instructors with student divers. It teaches you these dive leadership skills through classroom lectures and independent study as well as training exercises that stretch your ability to organize diving logistics and to solve problems. Since one of your future roles as a Divemaster is to function as an instructional assistant, a large part of the course focuses on helping other student divers to learn and improve their scuba diving skills. You acquire this knowledge through a structured internship program during which you actually work with our dive operation and under our supervision, helping us to teach diving courses in order to gain the first hand experience that you need. Divemaster is also the prerequisite certification for both the PADI Assistant Instructor and PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor certifications. If your dream is to become a diving instructor and to work all over the world in one of the most rewarding professions then the Divemaster course prepares you for that next big step!Who can participate? In order to begin your Divemaster training you must be· 18 years old· Certified as a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver and PADI Rescue Diver· Able to present proof of 40 logged scuba dives· EFR Primary and Secondary Care trained within 24 months· Medically evaluated and cleared for diving by a physician within 12 monthsHow long does it take?Mostly that depends on you and your commitment to the program. Whilst the course is very structured, there are certain elements that require self study and personal discipline. It goes without saying that you’ll only get out of the course what you’re prepared to put in and for our part we can only certify you once you’ve met all of the course requirements.Secondly, because the course necessitates that you actively assist us on various diving programs, it also has to integrate with our general teaching and diving schedule. This is usually not an issue except in the low season when the frequency of courses in general drops. Realistically, if you are already a certified PADI Rescue Diver, you can expect to complete your Divemaster course within around one Month give or take a week.

Certification
Also known as “getting your PADI”, the Open Water Diver Certification unlocks the door to a huge variety of diving related adventures and travel opportunities. Once you get certified you’ll never consider another vacation destination without at least wondering whether there is any good diving to be had there. The Open water Diver license is a lifetime certification accredited by PADI and is accepted worldwide by other dive operators as proof of your diving training. It is the world’s most popular scuba course, and has introduced millions of people to the adventurous diving lifestyle.
Doing your Open Water Diver Course in the Maldives certainly has distinct benefits. The water here is a balmy 28 degrees Celsius throughout the year and you never have to go far to find a decent reef full of colourful marine life Because of this convenience it won't take all day to do your training dives so your afternoons will generally be free to explore other interests and activities or to merely relax.
Although it is a performance based course and subject to individual ability, experience has taught us that the Open Water Diver course takes four days to complete comfortably.
What’s involved?
· Day 1 – On your first day we cover the course paperwork and get into the theory of scuba diving. You’ll receive your course manuals and logbook as well as watch the PADI Open Water Diver video which has now been seen by millions of divers around the world. We’ll also help you through some knowledge review questions and quiz you on how much you’ve understood. This theory session usually takes a full day to complete. Alternatively you can save yourself this precious time during your vacation by completing the theory portion online. See our footnote on eLearning below or visit our eLearning page for a full description.
· Day 2 - It’s time to get wet! After a briefing, conducted by your instructor to familiarize you with the skills you’ll be learning, we take you to a shallow area of the lagoon to put these skills into practice. Underwater your instructor will demonstrate a variety of diving essential skills that every diver must know in order to dive confidently and safely. After watching your instructor’s demonstration you will be given the opportunity to practice these skills yourself until you can master them confidently.
· Day 3 – We leave the confines of the lagoon behind us to find deeper water around one of the beautiful reefs in the Maldives. Amidst the abundant fish and coral life you get to practice your newfound skills on an actual scuba dive led by your instructor. On this day we complete the first two open water training dives of your course. Since you’re training in the Maldives where good diving is close at hand, this doesn’t usually take all day. After diving you’ll still have plenty of time to relax in the afternoon, update your facebook profile picture and tweet to all your friends about the exciting things you’re doing!
· Day 4 – On your final day we take you out on two more open water dives to complete the remaining course requirements. By now you’re well aware of what you’re doing and able to feel more relaxed and confident underwater. You’ll be briefly amazed just how much sense all that talk about buoyancy actually makes and then you’ll simply forget the theory as the schools of pretty fish grab your attention instead. After your last dive you’ll not only have done something very cool with your holiday but you’ll also have earned your Open Water Diving license. Congratulations!

The PADI rescue diver course introduces you to various diving related emergencies and encourages you to apply solution thinking to these situations in order to handle them. The training covers basic life support and first aid, how to recognize potentially hazardous situations, ways to prevent or control them and how to respond effectively to diver emergencies. You’ll learn a whole variety of new skills and techniques and practice using emergency rescue equipment and protocols to manage a diving accident situation. It’s an intense course but also exciting and a lot of fun, especially if you’re part of a group going through the training together. Most people who have been through this experience have cited the PADI rescue diver course as being one of the most worthwhile pursuits in scuba diving.
The PADI Rescue Diver course is a 4 day program during which we build systematically on the skills you already know and prepare you for a final scenario day during which it’s up to you to demonstrate how well you can apply your training to simulated emergency situations.
What’s involved?
· Day 1 – The rescue Diver course goes hand in surgical glove with basic life support training such as CPR and shock management etc. You also parctice secondary care skills such as bandaging and splinting. On your first day you’ll learn all of these fundamental skills by participating in an Emergency First Response course (EFR) which in itself is a certifiable program. The program follows the same emergency first aid protocols used by emergency medical services so you’ll get to know how to asses a victims lifeline and provide them with the essential care that they need. For more detailed information about the EFR course visit the “First Aid Course” section of our website.
· Day 2 – We’re back in the classroom this time to watch the Rescue diver video and to go over the knowledge reviews from your participant manual. We’ll also be discussing diving accident management and how to respond to specifically diving related emergencies. You and your classmates will be working together to come up with an emergency action plan, specific to the local area environment, which you’ll be needing as a reference in the latter stages of the course. You’ll also get to grips with industry standard emergency equipment such as oxygen units, first aid kits, in water rescue breathing aids and emergency flotation aids.
· Day 3 – Armed with all of this excellent knowledge we head outdoors to put it into practice. The session begins with a self help review covering some of the basic skills that you learned during your open water course such as cramp release and how to react to an out of air situation. Thereafter we get into the meaty bit of the training, simulating tired and panicked diver rescues, dealing with aquatic life injuries and how to respond to a situation from a variety of different vantage points. One of the toughest skills you learn is how to deal with an unresponsive or unconscious diver, transporting them to safety whilst providing them with rescue breaths. It’s challenging for sure but don’t forget that we’re not looking for perfection just your best effort. We’ll be there to guide you through it and it helps to remember that there’s never only one right way to perform a rescue.
· Day 4 – From here onwards it’s up to you to apply your training to some simulated emergency scenarios. What happens exactly is a closely guarded secret save to say that you’ll need to keep your wits about you and work closely as a team. The scenarios are meant to prompt you to take action according to the accident management skills that you’ve learned and practiced. It’s a day of fun and excitement but also an opportunity to reflect on how you might really react if the need should arise. By the end of it you’ll have the deep satisfaction of knowing that you’ve achieved something extraordinary!

Whether you just need a few reminders or want a more comprehensive review, this program provides an engaging, prescriptive refresher of scuba principles and procedures. The program has two components: 1) a knowledge review that includes interacting with ReActivate eLearning and 2) a dive skills refresher you complete with a PADI Professional. After successfully completing both components, a PADI Diver receives a replacement certification card showing a “ReActivated Thru” date. Divers initially certified through other training organizations (with proof of at least an entry-level certification) receive ReActivate Recognition Cards.
